Finalised program for Championships released

The finalised program for the 2025 Oceania Masters Athletics (OMA) Championships in Brisbane in September has been released.

A total of 733 masters athletes have entered the Championships, to be held over five days from September 6 to 10 at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre, the State’s premier athletics facility, at Nathan.

Athletes from Australia, New Zealand, the Cook Islands, Fiji, Samoa and New Caledonia, as well as international entrants from the UK, Ireland, USA, Iran, India and Sri Lanka, will compete in a full program of track and field events including sprints, hurdles, throws, jumps, distance races, race walking and cross country.

The Championships open on the morning of Saturday 6 September with the 10km race walk. The cross country will be held the following day over a course at the Sherwood Aboretum.

Competition at the Championships will be in five-year age groups, starting at the 30-34 years age group.
