OMA HONORARY LIFE MEMBERSHIP AWARDS
As shown in the minutes, at the AGM on January 24 2018 the OMA President Lynne Schickert announced the following long serving people had been awarded Life Membership by the OMA Council. The only previously awarded Life Membership was to Clem Green considered to be the “father” of OMA.
IAN ANDERSON elected to the OMA Council in 1988 and served in various roles to 2008. 88-92, 94-98 Council member, 92-94 Secretary, 98-2002 Vice President, 02- 08 President.
JIM BLAIR Council member 1996-2010, OMA delegate to WMA 90-95, WMA Stadia Vice President 1995- 2001. Currently Patron of OMA.
COLLEENA BLAIR OMA Records officer from 2003-2011 and a member of the WMA Records Committee for those years.
STAN PERKINS Vice President 1990-1992, President 1992-1996, WMA Delegate for OMA 1996-2009.
WILMA PERKINS Council member 1998-2002, Vice President 2002-2008, President 2008-2014, Council member 2014-2018.
HELEN TOBIN Secretary 1996-2008.
JIM TOBIN Council member 1990-92 and 2002-2014, Vice President 1992- 96, Acting President 1995-1996, President 1996-2002. Vetline editor for many years.
Jim Blair, Stan Perkins and Wilma Perkins were at the meeting and were presented with their badges by the OMA President. The badges for Ian Anderson and Helen Tobin will be delivered to them. Sadly Jim Tobin passed away in December 2017.”
